Use the Lite a Lot

I use the Lite Steam-A-Seam 2 quite a bit with applique. It is easy to use and washes well. While I've not had a problem with gummy needles, the product does have the annoying problem of having to test the papers to see which side the adhesive is going to stick to before tracing my pattern on it. The testimonial on the package that one side comes off easily is not real accurate as I've had both papers come off leaving just the adhesive. I've forgotten to test numerous times and had to redraw or had to deal with pinning the loose paper onto the pattern before the permanent placement.

Love it

I love this Lite fusible-have used it quite a bit over the years-but I didn't find it a problem like another reviewer in high humidity and no problems with my needles. I do however, wish it came in rolls or bolts which would be more economical for frequent usage like I need. I still buy it and use it in sheets for small projects.

Lite Steam a Seam 2

This product is amazing. It's wonderful for applique and you barely know it's there. I've used quite a bit of it with no problems. It machine stitches very well and I've had no problems with gummy needles. I'm a big fan!

Love this product!

I am fairly new to applique and such, but I love this product. I have never had trouble with it gumming my needle and it always stays in place perfectly. Will definitely be using for a long time.

Love the "Lite"

Use the "Lite" Steam a Seam 2 for my fabric art and love it. Have had no problems with gumming on my needles unlike the alternative Steam a Seam 2.

Gums my needle

I like the way SAS 2 Lite temporarily sticks my pieces together. I was a fan until I finished sewing and realized that my needle was collecting lint from the materials I was using and was all sticky. I started with a new needle so the needle wasn't the problem. I hope that it didn't cause major problems with machine. I'm going back to Wonder Under for lightweight projects. I also purchased regular SAS but haven't tried it yet. I'm hoping that it works better than the Lite version.

Couldn't live without it!

I use SAS II Lite all the time when creating intrictate fabric portraits and landscapes with multiple layers of fabric. unlike the other reviewer here, I specifically pick SAS II because it does NOT gum up my needle. (I DO use a titanium needle, which may help.) The only problem I have had is when it is hot weather with high humidity; the fusible web can stick more to ME than the fabric! But overall, it allows me to add multiple layers to my applique without them being overly stiff. The double stick quality of SAS II lets me audition fabrics and create a layout before fusing permanently. I couldn't do a portrait quilt without it!

Loved it!

I had no problems with this product, it didn't leave any residue on my needle, remained soft and flexible and was easy to sew through. I recommend it to anyone.
