Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks great but very hard to put together Although the cornice boxes look great, there was no way that they could be put together using the manufacturer's directions. After spending 6 hours on the first one we gave up and used hot glue. The hot glue worked great. The additional 4 cornice boxes went together easily with a total construction time of about 2 hours.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not so easy I purchased 3 cornices. I was so excited to start these, thinking this will be so easy. After working on 1 for more than 4 hours, I gave up! Fabric won't stay tucked in the grooves, corners wont lay nice no matter what I do to help. Side pieces wont stay attached. Directions are are not real clear, at least for me. Video from the mfg website is of no help either, it was a different type of cornice. Good thing I didn't spend much money on these, they where 50% with a 20% coupon online. Really not worth the money or the effort in my opinion.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hate the cornices I tried so hard to work with these plastic cornices but no matter how many extensions I purchased, it was just too flimsy. Horrible. Trash. Will throw out because I did not save wrappings to return.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as easy as the video on line!! I bought 12 kits with grand ideas. I started with the windows on either side of my front door to practice. The brackets are a major challenge. They are not long enough!!! I had to put 1/2 inch bolts between the bracket and the wall to make them long enough to hook the back of the cornice. The corners are a challenge as well. Too much fabric to push in the grooves. I trimmed it on angles to make it work. They are finally up. What I thought would take a few hours took almost 5 hours. They look great but I am now working to join more than one kit. Hope what I learned from the two small windows will help on the big window. The fabric is on just have to hang it. Great idea but don't think I will order any more. I wanted to do my wholed house. Would recommend to a friend but that they need to make sure they use heavy enough fabric and seek longer mounting brackets.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Design The design relies upon your fabric being held by small grooves in the plastic cornice. Sounds good, but once you get it all together, try not to handle it too much, the fabric pulls out of the grooves pretty easily. Plus, the folding of the fabric over the ends of the cornice is a challenge... once in place there is really nothing to hold the fabric securely and neatly. Then, to install on the window, you have to push and pull to get the metal hangers to slide into another groove. This pushing and pulling results in the fabric... yes you guessed it... pulling out of the small grooves! Frustrating project and not what we expected.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Seriously. Like some of the other reviews, if you know how to do it, it looks great and the plastic doesn't matter. Once it's up, it looks solid. There's no need to touch it. Also, the tucks allow for some creativity. Use thicker material and you don't need to use the plastic elements that hold the fabric in place. The thickness of the fabric holds it in place and it doesn't come off. If I can edit this post, I will add a photo. **Note: I am not a hobbyist or otherwise but (with the help of a second person to hang it and to figure out how to tuck and use -- my husband), it was quite easy. I am now on my third window and they all look great so far! :) I didn't like the "continental" cornice frame. This one is so much better! Definitely 5 stars for me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks nice, but very difficult to put together! I bought this product to make a cornice for over my kitchen window. I had to add two extension kits to make it the correct length. The instructions that came with the kit were not very detailed, but I was able to muddle through. My frustration came when I tried to tuck the fabric in on the sides. It would not stay in place! I ended up cutting some of the plastic tucking pieces into smaller pieces and leaving them in. I put ribbon over top of the tucking lines to hide the plastic pieces. The sides looked bunchy and not at all what the picture portrays, but luckily my cornice is hung between two upper cabinets so the sides are hidden. It looks nice ultimately, but I wouldn't recommend this product. It would be much easier and cheaper to make a wooden cornice yourself!

Rated 0 out of 5 by from Horrible Product I bought this cornice kit thinking it would be easy and look nice. I was really surprised at the poor quality this is made of. Plastic that won't hold the fabric and it slips out when you try to put the top and bottom and after 2 weeks and replacing the fabric we are into almost $90.00 for the cornice and fabric I had to buy two times. I wouldn't recomend this thing to my worst enemy and almost broke up my marriage! Joann and June Taylor didn't respond to my emails about it as I wanted to get my money back! This is just a poor quality piece of junk. Very disappointed.
