- Silver plated brass fish hook earring findings
- 10 lb hemp ball
- 2.5mm silver crimp beads
- 5mm silver Kumihimo endcap findings kit
- 16mm silver Kumihimo ribbon ends finding kit
- Bead glue
- Wire cutters
- Long or flat nose pliers
- Crimp tool
Cut 20 -30” lengths of hemp cord. Line up so that the ends are sitting evenly, and tie an overhand knot tightly near the end of all cords.
Continue tying overhand knots to group random hemp strands together.
Every 1/2” to 1”, add a pearl to a different hemp strand: slide a crimp bead onto the hemp, crimp the crimp bead in place. Slide on a pearl, and slide on and crimp another crimp bead after the pearl.
Continue Steps 2 and 3 until the necklace measures around 15” or desired length. Knot all strands together tightly.
Trim both ends of the necklace down to 1/8” after the knots. Use the long nose pliers to attach the ribbon ends findings to the ends of the hemp necklace. Using the long nose pliers and jump rings, attach the toggle clasps from the findings kit to the ribbon ends findings.
Cut 7 -14” lengths of cord. Line up so that the ends are sitting evenly, and tie an overhand knot tightly near the end of all cords.
Using the same technique as the necklace, add overhand knots randomly and pearls every 1/2” to 1” for 7” or desired length. Knot all strands together tightly.
Trim both ends of the bracelet down to 1/8” after the knots. Add bead glue to one end of the 5mm endcap findings. Push one of the knotted ends on the bracelet into the finding, and hold for several seconds or until the bead glue holds. Repeat with the other end of the bracelet and the other 5mm endcap finding.
Using the long nose pliers and jump rings, attach the toggle clasps from the findings kit to the endcap findings.
Cut 2 -5” lengths of hemp. Crimp a crimp bead to one end of each 5” length.
Slide a pearl on each cord length, followed by a crimp bead. Slide an earring finding onto each cord length, then loop each cord length back through the crimp bead- creating a 3/4” loop with the cord. Crimp shut and trim ends.
