Description

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1/4 yd. fabric
  • 3/4" D-ring
  • Swivel hook
  • Rotary cutter and mat or scissors
  • Ruler
  • Matching thread
  • Sewing machine
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Glue, Heat'n Bond® Iron-On Adhesive (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut 1 – 3" x width of fabric.
2. Fold strip in half lengthwise and iron.
3. Open strip and fold long sides in toward the middle and iron.
4. Refold and iron into a 3/4" wide strip. Heat and Bond can be used or glue to hold strip together.
5. Edge stitch on long sides of strip.
6. Insert strip into D-ring.
7. Fold strip in half and sew 1/2" seam at end.
8. Flip strip inside out and move D-ring to end seam.
9. Stitch across strip close to D-ring.

Wristlet

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1/4 yd. fabric
  • Swivel hook
  • D-ring
  • ½ yd – 1/2" decorative trim
  • Sewing machine
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Rotary cutter and mat or scissors
  • Ruler
  • Glue, Heat'n Bond® Iron-On Adhesive (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut 1 – 3" x 14" long.
2. Fold strip in half lengthwise and iron.
3. Open strip and fold long sides in toward the middle and iron.
4. Fold strip back in half and iron.
5. Edge stitch on long sides.
6. Center and sew or glue decorative trim to strip.
7. Insert strip into D-ring.
8. Fold strip in half and sew 1/2" seam.
9. Flip strip inside out and move D-ring to end seam.
10. Stitch across strip close to D-ring.

Pieced Lanyard

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1/8 yd. 3 fabrics
  • 3/4" D-ring
  • Swivel Hook
  • Rotary cutter and mat or scissors
  • Matching thread
  • Sewing machine
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Glue, Heat'n Bond® Iron-On Adhesive (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut 3 – 3" x 4", 5", 6" wide strips from each of the fabrics
2. Using a 1/4" seam, randomly sew strips together.
3. Press seams open.
4. Fold strip in half lengthwise and iron.
5. Open strip and fold long sides in toward the middle and iron.
6. Refold and iron into a 3/4" wide strip. Heat and Bond can be used or glue to hold strip together.
7. Edge stitch along sides of strip.
8. Insert strip into D-ring.
9. Fold strip in half and sew 1/2" seam at short ends.
10. Flip strip inside out and move D-ring to end seam.
11. Stitch across strip close to D-ring.
