SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 8 light sapphire glass 10mm round flat table cut beads
  • 9 aqua glass 10mm round flat table cut beads
  • 20 blue aventurine 4mm rounds
  • 38 gold iris glass 3x4mm faceted rondelles
  • 3 dyed imperial jasper 10mm rounds
  • 2 sapphire ceramic 8mm rounds
  • 2 gold brass 2' head pins
  • 4 gold brass 6mm split rings
  • 1 gold brass 10mm barrel clasp
  • 24' of gold 49-strand .018 beading wire
  • 10 gold 1.3mm crimp beads
  • Wire cutters
  • Round-nose pliers
  • Flat-nose pliers

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut the beading wire into three 8' pieces. Use 1 beading wire to string 1 crimp bead and 1 split ring. Pass back through the crimp bead and flatten.
2. String 1 gold rondelle and 1 light sapphire cut bead three times.
3. String 1 gold rondelle and 5 aqua glass cut beads. Repeat Step 2. String 1 gold rondelle, 1 crimp bead, and 1 split ring. Pass back through the crimp bead and flatten.
4. Use 1 beading wire to string 1 crimp tube and the first split ring. Pass back through the crimp bead and flatten.
5. String 6 gold rondelles and 1 crimp bead. Flatten the crimp bead. (If desired, do not snug the beads before crimping to allow the beads to move along the wire.)
6. String 20 blue aventurine rounds. Repeat Steps 5 and 4, using the second split ring.
7. Use 1 beading wire to string 1 crimp bead and the first split ring. Pass back through the crimp bead and flatten. String 2 gold rondelles and 1 crimp bead. Flatten the crimp bead. String 5 gold rondelles, 1 light sapphire cut bead, 2 aqua cut beads, 1 gold rondelle, and 1 imperial jasper round.
8. String 1 imperial jasper round. Repeat Step 7, reversing the stringing sequence and using the second split ring.
9. Cut the head off 1 head pin. Form a simple loop. String 1 gold rondelle, 1 sapphire round, and 1 gold rondelle; form a simple loop. Repeat entire step to create second beaded link.
10. Use 1 split ring to attach one half of the clasp to one end of 1 beaded link. Attach the other end of the beaded link to one split ring with the three attached beaded strands. Repeat entire step using the remaining beaded link and the other half of the clasp.
