16 sts + 22 rows = 4" in St st (k on RS, p on WS).
BE SURE TO CHECK GAUGE.
When matching the gauge in a pattern, project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes fewer stitches and rows to match the gauge, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles.
With C, cast on 32 sts.

With A, embroider ‘TRICK OR TREAT’ onto Bag with large straight sts tacked in place with smaller sts.
Fold cast on end of Bag to WS along turning ridge. Sew cast on edge to WS of Bag to create a casing for drawstring. Rep with bound off end of Bag.
Fold Bag in half and seam sides, matching stripes and stopping just below casing.
Cut 3 strands of B, each 96" long. Make drawstring same as for Small Bag. Hold strands tog and fold in half. Knot strands together just below fold. Divide strands into 3 groups of 2 strands each and braid until about 2" of yarn remains. Pin safety pin to the fold at beginning of drawstring. Thread pin through casings on both sides of Bag. Knot ends of drawstring together. Trim ends if needed.
Remove safety pin.
