SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- Two 7" or 8" zippers
- Iron-on studs
- Sewing machine
- Coordinating thread
- Iron and ironing surface
1. Find the outside side center of legging ankle opening. Mark the center the
entire length of the zipper measurement with chalk.
2. Lay zipper teeth onto center of chalk mark, flipping bottom allowance under the
bottom of the ankle opening; pin into place. Flip top of seam underneath the
zipper and pin into place to give a clean finish.
3. Stitch each side of zipper down with a zipper foot running up beside the teeth and
also stitch the zipper down at 1/4" seam allowance. Repeat these steps on the other ankle.
4. Peel the clear film from the studs and place onto desired locations around the zipper. Iron studs into place and repeat on other ankle.
