Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pink sands should be named Rainbow Wanted to love this yarn. It does have great texture and it's nice to work with. Had no idea pink sands would also include yellow, blue, purple, and green. So, if you're looking for a rainbow effect for a nursery item, I'd say go for it. Otherwise pick something else.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from unhappy This yarn is gorgeous and fairly easy to work with, but, use it only for scarves or wraps, it does NOT hold its shape at ALL. I knit a sweater and the ribbing stretched out horribly, looks awful. It is very warm and I love the feel of it, but the only place I can wear this sweater is at home. I knit a vest with it and had the same problem, have worn it twice and it is so stretched out that I cannot wear it again. The colors drew me in, I purchased three different colors for different projects when it was on sale. It is too late to return it, so I am just making scarves with the rest. So disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun ColorChanges Lovely long fades on the color changes. I wouldn't mistake it for hand dyed yarn, but it is similarly hard to make a "matching" pair of socks or gloves. Choose your project accordingly. Great for sweaters, hats, scarves, but gloves, socks etc will coordinate rather than match for a lovely hand made look, unless you use a lot of extra yarn and rewind into balls that start at the same point in the color change. Once you have made your matching items you can use the rest for sweaters or scarves. Or an afghan. Since yarn is not handdyed, there will be a matching section eventually, but it may take a lot of extra yarn to find it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pleased I have used Amazing yarn to knit several scarves and sweaters. I would have to mention that when knitting a sweater it is best to knit in the round to avoid having the side seams show. It is a soft yarn which is very easy on the hands. I would also recommend hand washing only, as I washed a sweater in the washing machine once with not so desirable results.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Colors Seems like beautiful yarn with a nice feel, although much thinner than any worsted weight yarn I've used thus far. Unfortunately I haven't gotten a chance to use any of the skeins I've purchased (6 various colors) except for 1 because the colors are very very wrong for the project I had planned. I planned to make a hat for my brother and, while the rainforest is perfect, the other skeins either have rather feminine colors mixed in (like purple in the mesa) that the swatches didn't account for or are simply not as i expected. I wish that the descriptions would better explain the product colors but sadly not even has an accurate description of the skeins I purchased/received through Joann. I'm sure I'll find projects for them in the future. ------------Would recommend this product but with a caution label.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No problems with my sweaters I've made two sweaters and a long cowl that I double around my neck most of the time. I've worn my sweaters each multiple times and haven't had any of the problems expressed here. One sweater is long sleeves with lace up the fronts, the other has short sleeves and has 4 cabled lace strips up the front. They're both lightweight and warm. The cowl is my go-to warmer and it has held up well -it is a simple garter stitch on large needles in the round. I bought the yarn with coupons so it was a good value, otherwise it would be too expensive.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, not great The colors are beautiful, and it does look like hand dyed yarn. I also found it very easy to work with - smooth, didn't find any knots, easy to put into a ball, etc. The end product though just isn't what I expected. I made a scarf, and after one wear it stretched to the point of not looking good anymore, and no matter what I did nothing could fix it. Also, it definitely feels and looks like itchy wool. So if you are bothered at all by wool then this yarn is not for you.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Want to love it, but can't. I basically look for 4 things when evaluating a yarn: 1.  Ease of use 2.  Softness 3.  Yarn strand quality (without knots, consistent color & diameter) 4.  Value As this yarn is approximately 50% wool, it is very light weight, and I think the other 50% acrylic adds to the softness.  As a crocheter, I can attest that it is fairly easy to work with (except when it is necessary to rip out some from a project, as it tends to snarl together).  The reason I gave this a rating of 3 is because of the bizarre color and diameter (and even texture) variations.  For example, a soft purple has had a brash yellow (~6-8 inches) stuck in the middle, or a soft pink with a skinny strand of off-greenish color plopped somewhere within.  And this is seen in more than 1 skein (which makes for a very interesting scarf).  Value-wise:  ok, seeing as though I purchased this on sale, but would certainly never pay full price.
