A Hot Mess
I should have known i was in trouble when i found two ends on the outside of the skein. I decided to use the center pull to wind into a ball and found multiple strands had been glued together, sealed into the label. Spent way too much time rewinding to then discover that a whole portion of the skein was double stranded. I can use 1/2 the skein for my project. Won't buy again.

NOT MADE IN USA AS LISTED IN DESCRIPTION
This is incorrectly labeled online as the package says Made in Turkey. Also, the yarn is much smaller than when I used to crochet a few years ago.

Beware of website description of this yarn!
(Heartland Tweed Black Canyon) I bought this yarn based on the online description which said it was a 5 OZ. skein and 251 YARDS. It recommended needle size 10 (gauge to have been about 16 stitches in 4 inches). Instead, the label on the skein read 4 OZ. and 200 YARDS. And recommended needle size on the label was 9 (which was supposed to make 16.5 stitches in 4 inches). I used the size 9 needle and the gauge was 13.5 stitches to 4 inches. Clearly, the yarn that was advertised was not the same I picked up (though it had the same label). And, although the yarn was very soft, the "tweed" was not woven in the yarn...instead much of it sat on top and came off easily. Also, there was a knot in the first few inches of the skein, and the yarn was not consistent in thickness (some was much thinner) Clearly the website description did not reflect the actual yarn -- maybe new yarn was created and they did not change the description on the website. Anyway, very disappointed that I have to start over!

Love the feel of this yarn
I love the feel of this yarn. I bought it online and neglected to notice the bright colors in the tweed. Also, the tweed sheds from the yarn and gets all over.
