Lion Brand Homespun Thick & Quick Yarn  is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A NEW FAVORITE OF MINE! I recently completed a long wrap using the Pearl colorway, and striping randomly with some neutral colors of fun fur and LB regular homespun for a gift for a retiring nurse. Worked in Tunisian crochet, I used an "S" 30 inch Tunisian hook. It turned out fabulous and now I want to make one for myself! So squishy and huggable! I would highly recommend this yarn to anyone. Beautiful hand when worked on larger sized needles and hook. I teach a two different week knitting courses at my local community college and I frequently will recommend this yarn to my students for projects that yield quick but beautiful results

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I purchased this product and had nothing but trouble with the skein. 1st it was broken at the manufactures and they tied a knot in it 3x's the size needed. Then the woven thread was broken in several places which allowed the weaving in yarn to come undone. The tail end of the skein had 3 broken spots where they never even tried to fix it. For the amount spent on this skein I could not believe the poor quality!! Will never buy from this company again!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So soft, amazing colors, easy to use I am at best, an advanced beginner at knitting and I was so pleased that this yarn is so easy to work with, despite other reviews. I found using aluminum needles really helps. Also, this yarn is so incredibly soft, I made myself an infinity scarf and my 4 year old was so captivated by the color and softness she stole it for a snuggly to sleep with and now I am knitting her a blanket, just to get my scarf back! Colonial is the color and it's like twilight over the open ocean with the depth and mingling of colors, it's beautiful. You won't be sorry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THIS YARN! Personally, I suffer from chronic pain. It has severely limited my ability to do almost everything. This yarn has helped TREMENDOUSLY, in that when able to crochet, THIS yarn is not only easy to work with, projects work up so much faster than with my former favorite - Homespun! I've made a few Prayer Shawls during the past 7-8 months with this yarn (which is a LOT for me) & they have turned out BEAUTIFULLY! My youngest grandson also LOVES this yarn - when he visited from CA, he STOLE - OR should I say, he "laid claim" - to the first one I had made! Of course, that made me feel VERY GOOD! He NOW wants a BIG blanket made from this yarn! I had been using the Homespun to make him a BIG blanket, which I started PRIOR to finding the Thick & Quick! NOW, I may have to use that one for someone else - ME maybe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I used to hate it... but now, I love this yarn and the original Homespun!  I had problems with it splitting in previous projects, but I found that my tension was too TIGHT!  The looser, the better with this yarn.  I used this to make a Spiral Afghan (pattern #L10355) from LBY's site (The color is not listed here...it is a self-striping variety called Greystone Stripes that is shades of grey, purple, and berry--GORGEOUS!).  I cringed when I saw what yarn it said to use!  It called for regular Homespun, but I loved the color of the T&Q, so I used it, instead.  A few minor adjustments for gauge, and it worked up beautifully!  It's the softest, warmest afghan you could ever want.  No problems with splitting, and it's very forgiving...if you miss a stitch, you can pretty much add it anywhere because you really can't discern individual stitches.  I'm getting more for afghan #2, and getting some for a hat & scarf, too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT for looming scarves and hats! I am not yet a knitter. I make my scarves and hats on a loom. I have used Thick & Quick to make gorgeous items. Since I learned to loom with homespun, I know to be careful to catch all of the fibers of the yarn when looming. I can imagine that the fibers can easily be stretched or frayed if handled too much. This yarn would not be good for them. I wish T & Q was less expensive!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from dlcurry As with the original Homespun, it takes time to get used to working with the texture, but this is really living up to it's name. With the right pattern or project this is an awesome yarn.
