This is a great yarn to use with fun fur to make chemo patient hats. It holds its shape, does not stretch and works up very easily. Unfortunately it is no longer available in the stores; it must be ordered on-line only.
I highly recommend this yarn! It is very, very soft and the sheen is just beautiful. I have used this yarn for crochet trim on pillowcases and for trim on receiving blankets for babies, both of these projects needed to be able to stand up to many washings, which this yarn did beautifully!! It kept its shape and softness. I did not find this yarn difficult to crochet with and I am a seasoned beginner.
I really enjoy to work with this yarn, it is very soft. I knit and never have any trouble with it. I made scarfs, baby sweaters and baby shoes and the final piece look wonderful. Yes it is expensive.
this yarn makes a pretty and very soft chemo cap, which is great for sensitive skin -- crochet or knit.
This past summer I made my niece a bridal shawl using the color Blush and combined it with a strand of Vanna's Glamor in Topaz and it came out to be the most beautiful Rose/Gold! So beautiful, soft and rather "glamorous! The finished product made me a very popular uncle!
OK, it splits. Let's just get that out of the way. But if you use care, it will reward you with a beautiful, soft, and strong article. I made up a laundry bag in Cherry Red for my daughter going off to college (using a Boye H hook), embroidered her name on it, then switched to a double-ended crochet hook (again in H) and made a small pouch to hold detergent in Cherry Red and Royal Blue. Love it!
Very soft but splits and untwists so difficult to work with. Considering the price, not sure I'd buy again. Finished work was nice.
Absolutely love this yarn, the colors, the feel and the way the finished product looks, but the skeins are so little. Wished Lion Brand would make it in One Pounders, the way some other brands do! It would make it more affordable for doing large charity projects.
