Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a great yarn to make baby blankets. I buy a lot of this yarn to make the baby blankets. We donate to a pregnancy center. so we make a lot and it is easy on my hand. My mom helps and she has had surgery for her hands. Great yarn.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just fiished a Shell Stitch baby blanket. Now working on another blanket that is squares of 2 or 3 different colors. It is small and can carry to Dr. appointments and etc. Love working with this thread. Going to look up the blanket that is on the wrapper and try to do it. I am 82 with Rhumotoid arthritis so don't get to do too much but crochet or knit like crazy when I can.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Scratchy - not what baby yarn should be I bought 5 of these, I'm not sure what I was thinking when I bought 5 of something without ever seeing it but I am very disappointed in it. I wanted to make a couple of different blankets and the lure of the coupon was just too much for me. This yarn is scratchy. I thought it would soften up as I went along but it seems to have gotten worse. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the other 3 balls. I made a very pretty blanket with 2 of them but am a bit nervous about wasting any more of my time to make something else. The yarn also easily splits which just adds to my frustration.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from What a mess I useto have no problems with this yarn but lately every time I buy this yarn it's impossible to pull from the middle and ends up turning into a tangled mess which I have to spend a week unraveling. Then I have to go through the parts that are frayed and knotted from the factory and cut them out. I've been buying the Caron 1 pound instead. It has a picture to show which end to pull from.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great yarn but... As a knitter, I am currently working on two afghans with this yarn. One is a single strand cable/lace combination and is turning out nicely. The other is a double-stranded garter/cable combination. My only problem with this yarn is that it has to be worked from the outside, meaning there has to be room for it to roll around in order to use. This wouldn't be too bad if it were a small skein but is obnoxious when this size.
