Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total waste of money I ordered enough yarn for a project. It came in several different dye lots. The order was a total waste of money. While I like wood ease, I will never order yarn from Joann.com again as they ship from all over the place and don't care if you aren't getting the same color.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lots of joins I purchased a large quantity of this yarn for a sweater. The colorway was the heathered rose and it is a lovely color and was true to the color it shows online (which is sometimes not the case!). I chose this because the care instructions say it is machine washable. My ONLY complaint is that there are a ton of joins in each skein of yarn. I would expect to see 1 every now and again - it happens, but in my 3 skeins of yarn I've used so far on my project, I've had at least 2 in each, and one skein had 3. I don't prefer to knit through them because the knots always seem to end up on the right side of the work, so I have to break the knot which essentially is like starting a new strand. More loose ends means more weaving in, and more potential failure spots in the work. The skeins aren't that long to begin with so having 3 breaks in the strand is excessive. 1/3rd of the way through my project, and I can say I wouldn't choose this yarn again for another garment. Too many knots!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft and warm! I was looking for the warmth of wool while still being able to machine-wash. This yarn is perfect. It's soft, warm, feels like wool, and comes in such cozy colors. It was really easy to work with, and made a lovely pair of mittens for my toddler. I got some more to make her a matching balaclava!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect yarn for making socks, scarfs and hats. I bought several different colors of this yarn as to make my son socks and hats. His grandmother in Germany used to make them for him but she has since passed. I found it hard to get the right kind of yarn that is very washable but still had wool in it. My son says they feel just like the wool ones his Oma used to make him and brought back warming memories to him. I have tried other brands but they were just not quit the same feel as Omas socks. I am buying more of this yarn to make several more pairs as these are his favorite socks. Also made matching beanie hats. Just like Oma used to make.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from terrible feel This yarn feels absolutely awful. I knit up a swatch and it feels so scratchy and uncomfortable I can't even imagine using it for the project the kit was meant for. I don't understand why because when I felt it in person a couple months ago it felt very soft and as you'd expect but this just feels like Redheart Supersaver lol.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Watch out for the NEW LOW QUALITY wool ease by lion brand! I purchased 15 skeins of the lion brand Wool Ease in wheat. The first nine skeins that I used were soft and beautiful. Then started using the last six skeins and I thought it was odd that there was so much more of the intertwining black thread, and they were made like wires. I then looked at my remaining yarn only to discover that it has half the amount of wool, and is very poor quality. Now 2/3 of my blanket is a different color than the rest and one side is soft the other is not. What a waste of time and money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from difficult to undo crochet projects in crochet, you pull the string to undo or backup in your work. this wool ease (for me anyway) has turned out to be difficult to do. you can't just tug on it because it latches onto itself. i mean, i do tug on it, but i break the yarn. it has a velcro feel. which is odd because ive used full wool yarn and havent had that issue, and used full acrylic and also havent had the issue. maybe this yarn has shorter fibers and therefor more ends sticking out to latch on to itself. unfortunate since my elder crochet friends seem to really enjoy this product!
