DESCRIPTION +
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
• 48 - 50 yards cotton cording
• 8” embroidery hoop
• 10” embroidery hoop
• Scissors • Glue
• Scrap cardboard cut to 1-1/2”x3”
• Measuring tape

DIRECTIONS:
Small Basket:
1.Cut 8 lengths of cord 70” long.
2.Divide into two sections of 4 strands each.
3.Tie a cross knot in the center of strands using 4 strands as one.
4.Tie a row of square knots 1-1/2” from cross knot using cardboard for a guide.
5.Tie a row of square knots 3 inches from cross knot, using cardboard for a guide and using one strand from two of the previous row of square knots.
6.Repeat step 5 two more times.
7. Loop ends around 8” hoop pulling last row of knots tight against the hoop.
8.Knot ends around embroidery hoop with alternating square knots to cover hoop.
9.Tuck in loose ends, trim and secure with glue.

Large Basket:
1.Cut 10 lengths of cord 90” long.
2.Divide into two sections of 5 strands each.
3.Tie a cross knot in the center of strands using 5 strands as one.
4.Tie a row of square knots 1-1/2” from cross knot using cardboard for a guide.
5.Tie a row of square knots 3 inches from cross knot, using cardboard for a guide and using one strand from two of the previous row of square knots.
6.Repeat step 5 three more times.
7. Loop ends around 10” hoop pulling last row of knots tight against the hoop.
8.Knot ends around embroidery hoop with alternating square knots to cover hoop.
9.Tuck in loose ends, trim and secure with glue.

Finishing:
1.Cut 3 lengths of cord 42” long
2.Fold lengths in half and create a wrap knot with scrap cording 3” from fold.
3.Separate ends into 3 sections. Loop around hoop of small basket spacing evenly around hoop and 12” from top fold.
4.Tie 2 square knots on each section tuck ends in, trim and secure with glue.
5.Cut 3 lengths of cording 42” long.
6.Fold cord in half, loop fold around small basket hoop and pull ends through fold to secure to hoop, centering between top hanging cords.
7. Loop ends around large basket 8” from small basket.
8.Secure with 2 square knots. 9.Repeat for other two strands
