Dragon Eggs

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• 1- Package of Styrofoam eggs
• 1- 12" x 12" Sheet of glitter cardstock for each egg color: purple, green, blue
• 1- Flat jar of Tulip black fashion glitter paint
• 1- Bottle of gold metallic acrylic paint
• 1- Medium paint brush
• 1- Bottle of fast grab tacky glue
• Download the dragon scale image
• Cricut machine

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut out the scales on the cricut machine. You will use most of the cardstock for each color. Cut equal amounts of each size.
2. Starting at the top of the egg, using the smaller scales, glue the scales in a circular pattern with the round parts touching.
3. Once the first group of 4 scales are in place, proceed up the egg gluing the scales in between the previous row of scales.
4. Cup the egg in your hand while the glue sets for a few minutes before you continue to the next row.
5. Use the larger scales once you get to the middle of the egg and then go back to the smaller scales on the last row.
6. Once the egg is covered in scales, brush the paint into the cracks and edge of the paper to give it a more realistic appearance.
7. Let the eggs dry.
