Graduation Medallions

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Assorted sheets of 12" x 12" colored paper - 2 of each color
  • Circle paper punch
  • Any numbers or letters of choice & color
  • Paper punches for edges (optional)
  • Hot glue gun & glue sticks
  • Scissors

DIRECTIONS:

    LARGE medallion-
  1. Take each sheet of the same color of paper and make a 1/2" fold along one side.
  2. Flip the paper over and make another fold 1/2" in width. Repeat step 1/2 until you have completed folded the piece of paper like a fan.
  3. Repeat this process with another sheet of paper so that there are 2 sheets that are folded.
  4. Take each folded piece of paper and fold it in half with ends together.
  5. Use paper punches while the paper is folded at the ends to give a decorative finish to the ends.
  6. Glue the two folded pieces of paper at the centerfold.
  7. Glue one sheet to the other at the ends of the folds to create your medallion.
  8. Once the medallion is completed, cover the center with a circle of paper using tacky glue to secure it.

    SMALL medallion.
  1. Cut the 12" x 12" pieces of paper into 6" x 6" squares.
  2. Repeat the steps 2-8.
  3. Apply images or numbers in the center of the medallion on top of the finished medallion using tacky glue.
