DIRECTIONS:
  1. For tassels:
  2. Cut a piece of cardboard 9” x 15”. Cut a 1” slit every ½” along the bottom of the cardboard until you have 15 slits. This will create the loom.

  3. Cut 15 lengths of yarn measuring 3’ each.

  4. Attach each of the yarn lengths to the dowel rod by folding them in half, then putting the looped end over the dowel rod and then pulling the cut ends through the loop tightly. When weaving, use two yarns together as one.

  5. Tape the ends of the dowel rod to the uncut end of the cardboard loom.

  6. Pull each of the yarn lengths tightly along the length of the loom and secure by pulling ends through each cut slit. This will create the warp yarns. (Two yarns together is one warp yarn).

  7. Cut a long length of yarn. Tie one end to the first warp yarn. Pull the other end through a yarn needle. This yarn is the weft yarn.

  8. Begin the weaving by pulling the weft yarn over the next warp yarn, then under the next, then over, then under, repeating to the end. Then turn the weft yarn and work in the other direction, working under the yarns that were weaved over in the previous row, and over the yarns that were weaved under in the previous row. Push the weft yarn tightly to the top of the warp yarns, and tightly to the dowel rod.

  9. Continue weaving, tying off yarns and adding others as desired.

  10. Beads can be added while weaving by stringing them on the warp yarns before weaving, or by adding them to the weft yarn while it is worked over a warp yarn.

  11. To tie off, knot the weft yarn to the end of the warp yarns. Then remove the warp yarns from the loom and tie two of the warp yarns together until all of the yarns are tied at the bottom. Let the warp yarns hang down to create fringe.

  12. Make pom-poms and tie them to the weaving where desired.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor instructions Great idea, but now I'll have to go to YouTube to find out how to do it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from ConfusingInstructions While I'm sure this is an easy project, the instructions are very confusing especially the part about creating the warp threads. A few step-out pictures or a video would be a BIG help.
