I bought this product for my 10 year old daughter for christmas. She is totally frustrated. I am to. the instructions are poor. the product is cheaply made and the pegs dont stay put. If I were to rate this product on a scale from 1 to 10 I would give it a 3. Only because of the plastic framing. totally shocked for a Martha Stewart product.
My 10 year old daughter recieved this as a Christmas gift, I was more excited than she was to try it out. After several hours of fighting with the pegs, trying to get them to stay in I was finally ready to give it a go. The instructions however were impossible to figure out. I am a crafter, a sewer, I crochet and I knit and this was just aweful! I then passed it on to my Mom who taught me everything I know and is what I would call a master crafter and she gave it back disgusted. While she was able to figure it out, the quality is so bad that there's the constant threat of the pegs falling out while you're working on your project. She agreed the instructions were the worst. I do NOT recommed this loom!
I purchased this item for Christmas and so far am very pleased with it. It allows me to create things like scarves and afgans very quickly. I have not had the problem of pegs falling out like other reviewers, though the larger pink pegs do seem to be a bit looser than the smaller blue pegs. I have also had no trouble loosing pegs, even in travel. They all come in resealable baggies (similar to sandwich bags) and I keep all my pegs in those bags. My only real complaint about this product is the instruction manual. The directions are not clear at all. Thank goodness that they had the sense to create YouTube directions. The link to this channel is clearly stated in the instruction manual.
I purchased this on sale, so I'm glad for that b/c it is a bit pricey. However, I have to say - I've learned that the full price is worth it. I've only had it since last week & I am in the process of a making a blanket and I've already completed placemats. I really love it. I recommend it.
Yes I will agree about the pick sent with very cheap. BUt I have the ultimate sweater machine and also the all the knifty knitters The thing I like about this one is that you can use the small pins for smaller knit. Like with anything it takes time to get use to using. I have had not problems with the pegs pulling out so far. The best part is I got it at Joanns using the 60 percent coupon.
working with Martha Stewart yarn is impossible on the Martha Stewart loom. I have had my loom kit for two weeks and the hook snaped off. The project instructions were difficult to follow. Would not recommend this product because of the quality.
I love the concept and have enjoyed weaving on it. However the carrying case is a joke. The pegs don't all fit so sometimes they fall out (and would you believe get lost??) I do love it however I think replacement parts should be easily available.
There are some issues with this loom. The pick/hook is a laughable joke, some of the pegs do have problems staying in the base but that is fixable with a bit of tape over the hole before the peg is pused in or tissue paper. But over all I have been very pleased with the versatility of this product, and use it a lot. The "carrying case" that is is in, is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen and that makes me wonder if Martha ever saw the whole proposed package before release of the product. But I have found with "tweaking" to be an adaptable loom that can do many things, this product just needs to be refined.
