Reviews
McCall's Pattern M7217-Misses' Zippered Bodysuit by Yaya Han is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Patterns not made for a variety in shape and size The best way to use any Yaya Han pattern is to turn the paper over and draw your own, or drape and pin the paper to a dress form because a LOT of major adjustments will be made to a point where you are practically making a new pattern. Never never NEVER use a YaYa Han pattern straight to the good material because there absolutely WILL be alterations (or startovers) made, so have a bolt of cheap dummy material ready. These patterns aren't made for the diversity of human figures, but a literal proportionate vector enlargement of only one body form: the brand owner's and has no flexibility for women of other shapes or lengths. It doesn't matter what size pack you buy, or how many times you measure before cutting, odds are it won't fit right. Even the gloves are a fitting nightmare. I suggest saving money, time, and frustration by doing the same thing you will be doing by buying a pack of present tissue paper. Or get another pattern.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from "Ultimate" not a term I would describe this with I bought this to make one of my cosplays and believing I could blindly trust anything Yaya Han put out. Because I don't always want to spend time making patterns for my costumes. Take a good look at the photo depicting Han wearing this body suit. Remember that she is petite, has paid for a larger bust, and is wearing it unzipped in a sexy way. This is is exactly how the pattern will turn out when you attempt to make it, so if you are not the same shape as her, it will likely need some heavy modifications. What sort of modifications? To give you an idea I am a 5'10" size 6 woman with about a B cup. I cut out my pattern to a size 14 just to be safe (since the back packaging always tries to convince me that the sizes will run small) but I am glad I cut out the bigger size. On the first try-on I did not add the arms or legs, but while the body was large, the neck size was too small. I don't have a thick neck, it was just made clear to me that this is a body suit MEANT to show off cleavage. The lines for the breasts also sat a few inches below mine and I needed to alter them to bridge the gap so the seam wouldn't sit awkwardly on my rib cage. Because I know I am a tall person I added roughly about an inch to the body portion of the pattern and kept my seams small and that seemed to work fairly well. However for the legs I needed to add about 5 or 6 inches just to get them to reach my ankles! Imagine my shock at pulling out pattern and holding up to myself wondering if I had accidentally ordered a children's size! All in all, I believe this could have been a better product and really it was pumped out with Yaya Han's name despite having some significant flaws to make it usable by other people. I will be far more hesitant about anything else made in her brand after this.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fitting issue Measured correctly but the suit ended up being way too small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pattern for well-fitted, snug body suit It's very hard to find a good, well-fitted, FLATTERING body suit pattern for anyone with curves or a less-than-perfect body. This pattern is a fantastic exception to that. The lines are excellent. It's easy to modify to fit, even if you are very curvy. Included are several possible variations, which is always a plus, as well as suggested fabrics to be used with the pattern. I've noticed that you can now get Yaya-han's heavy duty stretch lycra now at the stores, which I *highly* recommend as it's heavy enough to hold you in/smooth out your lines. I used this for my daughter's Bayonetta costume. I literally could not have created it without this pattern!
