Milan By Night Phone Case

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Lion Brand® Vanna’s Choice® Yarn: 3 skeins black (A), 1 skein beige (B), or colors of choice
• Lion Brand® Vanna’s Glamour® Yarn: 1 skein onyx (C), 1 skein topaz (D), or colors of choice
• Crochet hook, size H-8
• Large-eyed blunt needle

DIRECTIONS:
GAUGE:
Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

NOTES:
1. To change color, work last st of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with new color and draw through all loops to complete st. Fasten off old color.
2. To make finishing easier, work over ends of old colors as work progresses, or weave in ends as work progresses.
3. Case is crocheted with 2 strands of yarn held together using a small hook.

STRIPE SEQUENCE:
Work 2 rows with A and C held tog, 1 row with B and D held tog, 1 row with A and C held tog, 2 rows with B and D held tog, 2 rows with A and C held tog, 2 rows with B and D held tog, 1 row with A and C held tog, 1 row with B and D held tog, 1 row with A and C held tog, 2 rows with B and D held tog, 1 row with A and C held tog, 2 rows with B and D held tog, 2 rows with A and C held tog, 1 row with B and D held tog, 2 rows with A and C held tog, 1 row with B and D held tog, 1 row with A and C held tog, 2 rows with B and D held tog.

CASE:
With A, ch 14.
Row 1: Work 2 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc3tog, sc in each of next 2 ch, 3 sc in next ch, sc in each of next 2 ch, sc3tog, 2 sc in last ch – 13 sts.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, 2 sc in first st, sc3tog, sc in each of next 2 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in each of next 2 sts, sc3tog, 2 sc in last st – 13 sts.
Rep Row 2, following Stripe Sequence, until entire Stripe Sequence has been worked once.
Fasten off.

FINISHING:
Fold case in half so that first row meets the last row. Seam sides. Weave in ends.

Sc3tog = sc 3 sts together – Insert hook into st and draw up a loop. Insert hook into each of next 2 sts and draw up a loop. Yarn over and draw through all 4 loops on hook – 2 sts decreased.
