This iron does not heat up enough to iron anything. The cord is in the way and the instructions tell you to wash your hands after handling the cord because it contains lead! It going back because of that for sure!
This might be useful for someone who irons left handed but if your right handed, forget it. The cord comes out of the iron on the side facing you and it gets caught on anything and pulls out of iron. Did not get hot enough to iron a crease. Sorry I bought it!
If you use an iron in your right hand, don't buy this one. Cord exits from the side facing you and tangles with the fabric. Cord is heavier than the iron making it awkward to handle. Iron cannot be returned once broken out of its plastic bubble.
Tried to use this for quilting, but it doesn't get hot enough. Total waste of money.
At first I bought this to Iron fusible interlining onto my fabrics...I wasn't expecting it to 100% work for the job, but I thought, 'Eh, if it doesn't at least I can use it to get creases out of thin fabrics.... What a dissappointment. Didn't work on bit.... I should have used the 10 bucks on a REAL Iron.
I used it for ironing small pieces of fabric for quilting as I was away from home and had no iron with me. Hated it! It took a long time to heat up, then didn't iron well at all. It was also very difficulty to use because the iron was so tiny the cord plug-in was always in the way.
I bought this so I wouldn't have to haul out the ironing board every time I needed to press a quilt seam. In a word, it's horrible. Even after plugging it in for half an hour (instructions say five minutes?) the iron doesn't get hot enought to remove a wrinkle from even the thinnest fabric. On top of that, the cord disengages from the iron frequently. Great idea if it actually worked, but it just doesn't.
I got this just the other day and its my first iron its exactly what i needed great for starters and sewing projects I would recomend this for anyone who is not comfortable yet with a normal size just not something who has a big one as they will be dissapointed oh and this heats up in like 5 seconds! maybe 1 minute
