- Roving, 1 pkg each: lime, cream
DIRECTIONS: 3 mos size
Sweater Back: Cast on 47 stitches with size 6 needles. Work Rows 1-5 in seed stitch (K1, P1, beginning with a knit stitch on each row). Change to size 8 needles. Row 6: K1, p1, k1, p1, k to last 4 stitches, p1, k1, p1, k1. Row 7: k1, p1, k1, p1, p to last 4 stitches, p1, k1, p1, k1. Cont until back is 8". Work next 5 rows in seed stitch. Bind off.
Sweater Left & right fronts: Make 2. Cast on 27 stitches. Work same as back. Sleeves: Make 2. Cast on 33 stitches using size 6 needles. Work Rows 1-5 in seed stitch. Change to size 8 needles, work in stockinette stitch until sleeve measures 5". Bind off. Work next 5 rows in seed stitch. Bind off.
Finishing: Start at the outer edge; sew fronts & back together at shoulders; stop 1½" from center. Match top center sleeve to shoulder seam & sew sleeve top in place. Stitch front to back from hemline to end of sleeves. Fold down top corners of front; tack in place. Weave in ends. Chain 9" -tie with crochet hook; tie off. Make 2. Stitch the sweater at the collar.
Hat: With size 6 needles, cast on 76 stitches of Cuddle yarn. Row 1: Knit 1, Purl 1 to end. Rep 1x1 ribbing for 1". Tie on Little Treat Yarn. Tie off ribbing yarn; switch to size 8 needles & Little Treat Yarn. Start with a purl row (WS) continue in stockinet stitch for 3", ending with a purl row.
Shaping: Row 1 (RS): K5, K2tog 10x, K6. Row 2: Purl. Row 3: K4, K2tog 10x, K6. Row 4: Purl. Row 5: K3, K2tog 10x, K6. Row 6: Purl. Row 7: K2, K2tog 10x, K6. Row 8: Purl. Row 9: K1, K2tog 10x, K6. Row 10: Purl (26 stitches). Row 11: K2tog 13x (13 stitches). Cut yarn; leave 20" of sewing. Use yarn needle to thread through remaining 13 stitches & pull tightly. Sew seam; fasten off yarn. Weave in all ends.
NEEDLE PUNCH: Follow manufacturer’s directions for needling punching. Create flower & leaves on brush. Arrange on sweater lapels and hat. Needle punch onto sweater and hat.
