Great easty to use product. I love it.
I used this product to make insulated roman shades. I've had great difficulty locating the "window quilt"product manufactured by the Warm Company, and decided to use blackout drapery lining on one side, Insul-Bright in the middle, and fabric on the other side. A lot of work, but well worth it. Our winter energy bill is very reasonable using these shades at night, and during the summer when we travel, and are not home,I put the shades down to keep out the 103 degree AZ heat. Top notch product.
Has anyone ever used this to layer on a roman shade? I i was thinking of sandwiching two layers with the metallic side out and cover the street side with regular drape liner and a decorative fabric side for the room. It would seem to be so much less bulky (and even with two layers) cheaper than the stuff from the warmcpmany.
Sewed a tote with this as the batting and it works great for keeping things cool! Noticed reviews for potholders and placemats but it insulates well for cold also. Easy to sew between fabric.
This product insulates very well, much better than using scraps of batting for hotpads. I had done that on some older hotpads and compared to the ones made with Insulbright, I almost got burned with the batting ones!
First time I used it and I LOVE it. Easy to cut, easy to sew. Just learned about it and will continue to use.
I was shopping for padding for my ironing board and while in JoAnn's met another shopper who educated me about Insul-Bright. She said she used it when making hot pads and she highly recommended it for the ironing board. I bought it (as well as Warm & Natural). I covered my ironing board with both the Warm & Natural and the Insul Bright and I love it! It was easy to cut and sew. I am so thankful to learn of this product, but most of all I am thankful that there are wonderful people like the lady I met who care to share their experience and knowledge. Thank you!! Wonderful for potholders & hotpads (using 2 layers). I made 20 potholders this month using it. Wish JoAnn would carry it by the yard, since I prefer to buy 4-5 yds at once.
