All beginning chains count as first st.

Make 237. With A, ch 4, slip st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in ring, slip st in first sc – 6 sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 3, (counts as first dc here and throughout), work 2 dc in same st, [ch 3, 3 dc in next sc] 5 times, ch 3, slip st in top of beginning ch – 18 dc and 6 ch-3 spaces. Fasten off
Rnd 3: Join B with slip st in any ch-3 corner space, ch 4 (counts as dc and ch 1), tr, ch 1, dc in same space, dc in next 3 dc, 3 dc in ch-3 corner, tr in next 3 dc, placing marker in center tr, 3 dc in ch-3 corner, dc in next 3 dc, [dc, ch 1, tr, ch 1, dc] in next ch-3 corner, dc in next 3 dcs, 3 dc in ch-3 corner, tr in next 3 dc, placing marker in center tr, 3 dc in ch-3 corner, dc in next 3 dc, slip st in 3rd ch of beginning ch – 40 sts.
Fasten off.

Arrange Hexagon motifs in 19 rows, 10 with 12 motifs each and 9 with 13 motifs each.
Beginning and ending with 12-motif rows, alternate 12-motif rows with 13-motif rows, staggering placement of motifs and matching up marked center tr with unmarked center tr st of next row.

Starting at unmarked tr of first 13-motif row along left side, join C with a sc in unmarked center tr, ch 3, sc in same st, *slip st in back loops only of next 9 sts of first motif to marked tr, working in back loops, slip st marked tr to unmarked tr of first motif of 12-motif row to the left, working through back loops of both rows, slip st motifs together along the row to last motif of 13-motif row, continue to slip st to last unmarked tr of last motif, [sc, ch sc] in last unmarked tr of row.
Turn to work in opposite direction and repeat from * to join opposite edge of first 13-motif row to second 12-motif row. At points where 3 motifs meet, work slip st through all three motifs.
Continue to work along the lengths of rows to join all 19 rows. Fasten off.

Edging is worked down the 2 long sides only.
Row 1: Join B with sc in first unmarked tr of first 12-motif row, *working in back loops only, sc in each st until 1 st before point where 2 motifs meet, sc2tog to join motifs together, sc in each st; repeat from * to end of row.
Fasten off. Repeat along opposite long edge. Remove markers. Weave in ends. Finished sizes: 40"x58".
