The Original Base adjusts to accomodate a scroll frame, PVC frame or hoop which is 13" to 22" wide. This frame is complete with a 16" scroll frame. It folds completely flat without disassembly for storage . A companion item is the UCS Universal Clamp which allows the user to replace the scroll frame with Q-snaps or stretcher bars. Base and scroll frame are made of hardwoods and are unfinished and sanded. Scroll frame has unfinished 3/4" diameter dowels with 1-1/2" cotton twill tape. For a comparable size frame with Antique Oak finish see the Z frame.

Recently purchased this wonderful frame! Being an avid stitcher for over 40 years; this is the first frame I can actually say that I LOVE. I love the multiple positions it can be locked into; plus the easy access to the back of stitchery for clipping threads.Another great feature is that the base of the frame can easily be adjusted to accept different length rods for different sized projects, without the need of adapter bars, etc. I have used this frame sitting at a table, and also while sitting in the recliner. It is WONDERFUL!!

I have to say that I LOVE this lap frame. It was worth every penny! I have done cross-stitch for 25 years and can't tell you how much I appreciate having it. It comes with the cross bars but you can use your own and it adjusts to different sizes by sliding the bottom and turning the knobs. Love it! It can fold almost flat to pack or store too. I have purchased other lap frames and the one that stands and hate them compared to this.

I have this frame and really like it. It sits on your lap or table top to free up both hands for stitching. I definately will buy again, actually I would like one a size bigger.
