Statuesque and graceful, this lamp combo offers a classic way to see colors and details accurately no matter the size of your project. With their sturdy, weighted bases and ivory fabric shades that pivot up and down, the Laurel floor lamp & table lamp offer an elegant way to enjoy OttLite 508 Illumination.
After reading the other reviews, I was prepared to have to take these back but they are fabulous additions to my sewing studio. The light is great, the lampshades will adjust nicely and I love them! There were no instructions to assemble but it was pretty easy to figure out. I also got the floor lamp with the magnifying glass and my studio glows now!
This product came with a lot of rust on the metal. Would advise not purchasing unless you are willing to repaint or the rusty parts do not matter to you. Learned too late to believe reviews written. Since the prior reviews were so numberous I figured Jo-ann would have fixed this problem with the vendor by now. Maybe Jo-Ann does read or care about continuing problems.
I agree on the quality - the finish is not consistent or smooth and the assembled product feels shaky. The ivory shade is also a deeper color than it appears onscreen. I'm keeping both lamps because the style is very appealing to my eye. They are not a bad value at $99 w free shipping and hope that tweaking them doesn't bring the cost above value. I would return them if charged the original price. It would help if your website provided more detailsed descriptions/specifications - then customers can have more realistic expectations before ordering. I haven't made other 'online only' purchases here for that reason.
I just got this order today, no table lamp in the box, just a floor lamp and the bulb and shade for the table lamp. They said there are no spare parts in the warehouse, I do not want spare parts I want the lamp.
When my order arrived, the box contained a large plastic display item not the pair of lamps I expected. There was no problem returning that and the lamps finally arrived. I am so disappointed in the quality of the finish. The paint on the floor lamp is pitted and rusted in so many places that my husband is going to sand it and repaint it. Had I not already recycled the box it can in, I would have returned it. At least the light is bright.
