So disapointed
Seemed the ideal match for my needs. But product broke within two days.
Too much distortion
I was happy to finally have a magnifier on a base so that I could really see detail for jewelry-making. Maybe it's because the magnification is too great, but I can't find any spots where there's not total distortion of the image. I'm returning it.
Can't put in batteries
I bought this junk and the AAA batteries don;'t even fit!

I almost never write reviews, but I'd like to save others the headache. I thought I was buying a quality product, given the great reputation Ottlite has in the craft lighting industry. I was wrong, so wrong. The plastic housing does not meet in spots, one piece plain broke off of the 6x magnifier straight out of the box, and there was glue residue all over the 3x magnifier, including the glass. Even the battery compartment was fiddly. And all those things aside, it's heavy. Do not buy this with the intention of putting it on your embroidery hoop. And the light is not bright enough to try to clip farther away. Just not good. Poor design and poor craftsmanship.
