Love, love this tall floor lamp.
Not bad for the price.
Got the set, it took my husband about 5 minutes to assemble both lamps. THE GOOD: very bright (I use them in a basement room with no window); the lamp heads can be turned in any direction, including straight up; stands are pretty solid; the color makes them look expensive; not hard on the eyes. THE BAD: the edges are very, very sharp; the switches are extremely hard to turn (I had to use pliers). I solved that problem by using a power strip. I plugged them both on the power strip. One click and they both turn on and or off. OVERALL: I would buy them again.

I got these lamps at a super deal and was not disappointed. I am sad that they are from China as I USA IS MUCH BETTER. but the brightness is awesome. i AM having a lot of problems with reading and this helped so much. My husband took the other one for his lamp table. Besides the fact that they are made in China I am quite happy.
Beautiful look, decent lamps
I ordered this set while at a great sale price, before the worst reviews were in. I'm happy to have bought them since I haven't had the switch problems, but I'm glad I was warned. I love the style of these lamps! The silver finish is exactly what I wanted, and the bases are very heavy and sturdy, making it impossible for my active cats to knock them over (the fate of other lamps). The smaller lamp is on my sewing desk, and the length of the arm is perfect for reaching over the machine to light the area I need. Ottlite customer service is also great- they were very helpful in sending me a replacement for a bulb that broke in transit. These lamps have a 1-yr warrantee, so if anything does go wrong, I feel safe knowing they'll help. :)
Bought as a gift
We bought this set for my sister. She has the table lamp on the sewing maching table and floor lamp between the living room chairs. I told her what all the reviews said so she could look for potention problems. Because of that she was uber-careful when putting it together. She said the threads for the bulbs had to be done very carefully because they were just a titch off. She loves the lamps!
CALL CUSTOMER WERVICE before returning
My husband assembled these lamps and neither one have a working switch. The on/off is SO difficult that even he can not turn it every time. I called Customer Service and they immediately offered to give me A FREE RETURN SHIP LABEL and full refund. CALL BEFORE you pay for the return shipping! At least I was inpressed with Customer Service!
Poor quality
L purchased the lamps for my sewing room. The quality of the light is very good. The lamps are attractive. the quality of the craftmanship is very poor. My husband had a difficult time assembling the lamps, but got the job done. The switches are very hard to turn on or off. For the purpose I'm going to use them for, they will work fine.
refund is a hazard
this is the worst company that I know of to order online. They do not accept returns on the store, I just paid $25.00 to return a box that I never even openned, once I saw the seal on the box with a "Made in China" statement i went and returned it. The packaging was horrible!
