New from OttLite, the super functional Telescoping Lamp was designed to provide amazing flexibility unlike any other lamp available today. The 360 degree rotation at the base and the flexible shade joint allow you to position the light exactly where you need it, and the height adjusts from 10 1/2 inches to 20 1/2 inches! Features sturdy weighted base and sleek glossy finish.
I fought buying one of these as I had also fought buying a yarn swift and ball winder....will once again never be without any of these items to sit and crochet with. The light allows me to work on any color including black in the dead of night and be able to see the sts I am working into!! Downside of it is the overall length/angles that you can adjust it to. Think the length would be fine IF you could flex the head a bit more to make it so that your hand/arm was not it the way. Overall this light (especially with 50% and free shipping) was/is a godsend to work with dark colors of yarn at night time :=)
purchased for my computer desk, 20 year old son swapped it for his desk lamp. Now my older son wants one for his apartment . So the great lamp i bought for myself I have to re-buy two times to keep us all happy.
I shopped several stores to find the right light for machine and hand sewing. This one fits all my requirements and turned out to be lower priced than most of the other lamps I looked at because I had a valuable coupon. The lamp telescopes and swivels so the light can be directed exactly where you want it. The base is weighted and the quality is good. Replacement bulb is low cost.
I procrastinated too long before buying this lamp. Wish I'd purchased it sooner. Perfect for crafts, sewing and any other detailed projects. Very sturdy and well built. This along with my 4.00 reader glasses enables me to do fine beading. Love it! Plus the CFL bulb should last forever!
Just bought this lamp. Although smaller than I anticipated it is a very functional little lamp. I especially like the 360% swivel function. And the shade is also adjustable. It's plenty bright for knitting in my chair, yet portable for me to take into the sewing room. For the money (I used a 40% coupon) I'd say I got a great deal. Oh and very sturdy base also. It's weighted.
I have been using reading glasses for almost 15 years, plus I have some vision loss due to early Macular Degeneration. I have problems reading some printed material, etc. I like to sew and love to crochet. I actually bought this lamp for work. I work all day with small print and handwriting that sometimes makes letters and numbers difficult to decifer. My job requires accuracy. The light from this lamp has improved the sharpness and clarity of printed and written words and numbers tremendously. I am going to buy a second one for home. Great product.
