Ottlite can do better
I love Ottlites, I own a half a dozen different models and this one is my least favorite. It doesn't give off as much light as you would expect because the plastic shade is very deep to accommodate the spiral type bulb and it blocks a lot of the light. It's not very adjustable tilting only up or down but what really drives me nuts is the on off switch. I have to push it three to six times to get it to turn on and off. Very frustrating.
Very Good
My husband bought this for me last year from JoAnn's online as a gift for me. I picked it out online because I wanted more direct lighting close up by my embroidery machine. It is great! No complaints from me whatsoever. I can direct the shade as needed, does not take up much room and even though I normally don't like modern styling, I like this lamp because of the lighting effect. Love the extra light close enough to adjust on my projects. I have no complaints about this product. It is great in a sewing room and I highly recommend it. Very functional.
hard to tighten loose nuts
I really like this lamp, works great for additional lighting on my craft table. But when the swivel mechanism got loose it was really tough to get inside the light and at the loose nuts to tighten them. Lots of slipped up attempts and sore nuckles I finally managed to tighten the nuts and now the swivel works fine again.
Bad product
Didn't like it at all. Too expensive, not enough light, not enough adjustability. I don not recommend wasting your money
Excellent Little Light
Bought this light on sale and couldn't be happier with it. I own a larger desktop Ott light and my husband kept stealing it for his work desk at home. Offered to buy him an Ott light to try. This is the one that he chose. Light is bright, doesn't get hot and allows him to see small print clearly.
Great Light
I also bought this at the Black Friday event. It is just great. I am a scrapbooker so this works super for me....No glare, doesn't get hot and a really great price. I love it and highly recommend for any crafter.
Ecellent Light
I bought this light as a "Doorbuster" on BlackFriday. I own a couple of Ott's and wanted a desk one for my computer. It looks kinda funky but I figured it would do the trick. Boy does it ever!! The design is such that I tried it in my kitchen, bedroom and bathroom and it works great with my decor. I wished I had purchased a few more. And Ott being Ott the lighting needless to say is great. No one should be disappointed with this desk light. Fantastic!
best little light ever!
I just received this little light from a friend who wanted to help me see better when doing my jewelry. Since I have cataracts in both eyes, making my jewelry has been difficult. Also the sewing I do ... this little light is letting me see what I could not see.. and what a huge help!! Wowwow.....thank dear friend.. whereever you are for sending me this lovely gift. karen
