1. Insert foil inside of pillow cover to prevent paint seepage.

2. Flip bird and butterfly pattern over. Trace with chalk pencil. Flip pattern over, chalk side down, and position. Press to fabric and hold in place with hand. Run a finger over pattern lines to transfer design in chalk onto fabric. Remove pattern.

3. Squeeze a small puddle of each color of Soft Fabric Paint® onto foil. Use flat brush with Golden Tan to fill in bird and butterfly. While design is still wet, dip tip of flat brush into Chocolate & dry brush color around edges for shading.

4. Mix Linen and Golden Tan to highlight wings, breast and top of butterfly wings.

5. Use liner brush with Chocolate detail bird feather & then body, antennae & butterfly wings. Mix Sunshine Yellow & Golden Tan to paint in beak. Paint legs Ebony. Use wood end of brush to dot the eye. Allow to dry.

6. Print out pattern. Paper Press technique will be used for words. Loosely cut apart words from pattern sheet. Practice on a paper towel before working on pillow cover.

7. Start flow of Scribbles® Olive Green on paper towel, using an even pressure for a smooth line. Squeeze a thin even line along pattern lines. Immediately flip over & position on paper towel. Lightly press along lines, then remove pattern. Squeeze paint along lines of nest. Position and press in place. Repeat step with smaller words and dots. Allow to dry.

8. Remove foil & insert pillow form.
