    • Large-eyed blunt needle

DIRECTIONS:

NOTES
Beret is worked in continuous rounds beginning at top.
In this pattern, dc are worked in the spaces between 2 dc throughout.

BERET
Ch 4, sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Rnd 1: Work 12 dc in ring. Place marker in first st for beg of rnd; move marker up as each rnd is completed.
Rnd 2: Working in spaces between dc here and throughout this pattern, work 2 dc in each space around – 24 dc at the end of this rnd.
Rnd 3: *2 dc in next space, dc in next space; rep from * around – 36 dc.
Rnd 4: *2 dc in next space, dc in next 2 spaces; rep from * around – 48 dc.
Rnd 5: *2 dc in next space, dc in next 3 spaces; rep from * around – 60 dc.
Rnd 6: *2 dc in next space, dc in next 4 spaces; rep from * around – 72 dc.
Rnd 7: *2 dc in next space, dc in next 5 spaces; rep from * around – 84 dc.
Rnds 8 and 9: Dc in each space around.
Rnd 10: *Dc in next 3 spaces, skip next space; rep from * around – 63 sts rem.
Rnd 11: *Dc in next 2 spaces, skip next space; rep from * around – 42 sts rem.
Rnds 12 and 13: Sc in each st around.
Rnd 14: Sc in each sc around, join with a sl st in first sc.
