This yarn has become my favorite for making anything. Much better then any other 3ply that I have used. the only problem is limited colors.
I have been crocheting for over 40 years. This yarn is one of the softest yarns out there. I use it for baby blankets that I sell on Etsy. No complaints what so ever!!!
I used this yarn for 2 baby blankets and I like the finished result of both. The yarn does split a little while knitting, but it did not present a problem. I used it while knitting on a shawl from Debbie Bliss and a cable and lace pattern. My daughter in law has had no problem with laundering the blanket. I will use this yarn again for knit baby blankets
Unfortunately I have used this yarn for two different Baby Blankets and found it splits easily - especially the Pink, Angel White, Pastel Blue and Pastel Green. The only color that held up was the lavender color. The one pattern I used that at least did not show the yarn splitting as bad was a very tight pattern of Catherine's wheel. The Granny Squares of the other blanket however seemed to show the thread splitting more. Also it tends to "ball up" when launderede unless I used a delicates laundry bag and a very gentle delicates cycle for washing and drying!
This yarn is very soft, but I found it difficult to knit with. Using size 3 needles, it was impossible to pick up a dropped stitch because of splitting, fuzzing, and stretching. After I wound the skein into a ball, the problems were not as bad. Maybe it ended up twisted tighter. The yarn seemed thinner and the space between the stitches was very noticeable even with those size 3 needles.
I bought the original "Beehive" in lavender & crocheted a sleeveless sweater. It is SO SOFT & lightweight, I had no trouble with splitting or fuzzing; I hope this is the same
This has good yardage for the price. 359 yards for 3.99. I like the color availability. The only thing I don't like about it is that it fuzzes. I am trying to figure out whether I want to use this yarn or another when making baby clothing because of the fuzzy factor.
I'm using this yarn for the 1st time on 2 baby afghans that I'm working on. Very soft. Splits a little, but nothing that would deter me from buying it again.
