The Pellon Dark Blend 70/30 Cotton/Polyester Batting Scrim-Needle Punched is specially designed for dark colored quilts, home decor and apparel for no show through. It is reinforced with a scrim that prevents stretching while quilting. Ideal for machine or hand quilt up to 10 inches apart, this dark blend batting comes in a 90-inch x 6-yard roll. It is made from 70% cotton and 30% polyester.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not quilt batting This was very inexpensive so I guess I should have known, but this is NOT what I'd call batting, as a quilter. It is very thin and I'm not sure it would stand up to multiple washings. But if you need a think layer for another project, or it won't be washed, the price is right.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not on a roll Photo is misleading. I thought I was ording a roll of soft black poly-cotton batting that I had bought before and been happy with. However this is not what I expected; it is not soft, does not drape well, has grey on one side and black on the other. I'm sure it is useful for some projects, but I would not recommend for higher quality quilts

I am eager to get my Larel Birch quilt finished and quilted with my new roll of black batting. My backing fabric from JoAnn's coordinates well with my Laurel Birch top.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very very thin I imagined this batting would have been similar in thickness to warm & natural cotton batting, but it's more like felt, so that was disappointing. Definitely won't add much texture to a quilt. I probably will not buy this again, and I would not have purchased it if I knew it was this thin.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not really for quilts I ordered this for quilts, expecting it to be soft and supple for quilting. It is more like felt, very stiff and hard to manage on the machine. The weight of the finished quilt is much heavier than I expected.
