16” Pillow with Pom Poms

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • ½  yd Personalization fabric
  • 16” Pillow form
  • 1 Skein each of black and white Yarn
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Sewing machine
  • Iron and pressing surface
  • Pom Pom Maker
  • Yarn needle

DIRECTIONS:

  1. From Personalization fabric cut:
    1. One 17” x 17” for front; centering name as desired
    2. Two 17” x 13” for envelope style back
  2. Make a narrow hem on one long side of each back piece.
  3. With RST, sew front to backs with a ½” seam overlapping back pieces.
  4. Clip corners and turn RS out.
  5. Use Pom Pom maker (or preferred method) to make four 4” pompoms. Tie centers with approximately 18” of yarn.
  6. Use yarn needle to tie pompoms to corners of pillow.
  7. Insert pillow form.

 

12” x 16” Pillow with Pom Poms

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1/4  yd Personalization fabric
  • 3/8 yd Coordinating fabric
  • 12” x 16” Pillow form
  • 1 Skein pink yarn
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Sewing machine
  • Iron and pressing surface
  • Pom Pom Maker
  • Yarn needle

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Cutting:
    1. From Personalization fabric cut:
      1. One 9” x 13” Personalization fabric for front; centering name as desired
      2. Two 13” x 12” for envelope style back                      
    2. From coordinating fabric cut one 13” x 17” piece for front
  2. Press under ½” on all sides of front Personalization fabric piece.   Center onto coordinating front; edge stitch all around.
  3. Make a narrow hem on one long side of each back piece.
  4. With RST, sew front to backs with a ½” seam overlapping back pieces.
  5. Clip corners and turn RS out.
  6. Use Pom Pom maker (or preferred method) to make four 3” pompoms.  Tie centers with approximately 18” of yarn.
  7. Use yarn needle to tie pompoms to corners of pillow.
  8. Insert pillow form.

  • 14” Pillow Form
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Sewing machine
  • Iron and pressing surface

  3. Two 15” x 11” for envelope style back
  4. Make a narrow hem on one long side of each back piece.
  5. With RST, sew front to backs with a ½” seam overlapping back pieces.
  6. Clip corners and turn RS out.
  7. Insert pillow form.
