  • Red HeartĀ® With LoveĀ®: 1 skein, Iced Aqua
  • Susan BatesĀ® Crochet Hook: 5mm [US H-8]
  • Decorative button, 3/4" [19 mm] diameter
  • Yarn needle

    • GAUGE: 2 pattern repeats = 3" [7.5 cm]; 3 rows = 3" [7.5 cm] in pattern stitch. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

    • NOTE:
    • Shawlette is worked in rows from top edge to lower edge.

    • Double picot: Ch 5, slip st in 3rd ch from hook, ch 4, slip st in 3rd ch from hook, ch 2.

    • Row 2: Ch 7, turn, (sc, ch 3, sc) in ch-1 space between next 2 picots, *double picot, (sc, ch 3, sc) in ch-1 space between next 2 picots; repeat from * to last sc, dtr in last sc.
    • Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in dtr, *double picot, (sc, ch 3, sc) in ch-1 space between next 2 picots; repeat from * to end of row, double picot, sc in 5th ch of beginning ch-7.
    • Rows 4-9: Repeat Rows 2-3.
