SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Red Heart® With Love®: 1 skein, Iced Aqua
  • Susan Bates® Crochet Hook: 5mm [US H-8]
  • Decorative button, ¾" [19 mm] diameter, yarn needle
  • GAUGE: 2 pattern repeats = 3" [7.5 cm]; 3 rows = 3" [7.5 cm] in pattern stitch. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.
  • 4 Medium Red Heart® With Love®, Art. E400 available in solid color 7oz (198 g), 370 yd (338 m) and multicolor 5oz (141 g), 230 yd (211 m) skeins

    • Ch 132.
    • Row 1 (Right Side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook, *double picot, skip 4 ch, sc in next ch; repeat from * across – 26 double picots.
    • Row 2: Ch 7, turn, (sc, ch 3, sc) in ch-1 space between next 2 picots, *double picot, (sc, ch 3, sc) in ch-1 space between next 2 picots; repeat from * to last sc, dtr in last sc.
    • Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in dtr, *double picot, (sc, ch 3, sc) in ch-1 space between next 2 picots; repeat from * to end of row, double picot, sc in 5th ch of beginning ch-7.
    • Rows 4-9: Repeat Rows 2-3.
    • Row 10: Repeat Row 2.
    • Fasten off.

    • Row 1 (Right Side): With right side facing and working along opposite edge of foundation ch, join yarn in first ch, ch 1, sc in same ch, *ch 3, skip 4 ch, sc in next ch; repeat from * to end of row.
    • Rows 2-4: Ch 1, turn, sc in first sc, *ch 3, skip ch-3 space, sc in next sc; repeat from * to end of row.
