This is a well made album. It is very durable. The book is a standard size and other company's pages fit it. But I always buy the Pioneer pages because they are of the best quality. This is a wonderful product.
This is one of the few postbound albums that comes with the "library spine" that actually still looks nice on the shelf after extra pages have been added. I had too many pages to fit in another album, so ordered this as a replacement, and everything fit, with space to spare. Mine did not come with the gold trim. I think the albums look so much better without it anyways!
This is a great album, but the website picture is not accurate. The albums I received did not have the gold trim. I called customer support and they said they were going to update the website picture, and they did not carry the album whose cover has the gold outline as pictured. I like this album, and will use it, it just doesn't match my others.
I paid around $20 for my pioneer scrap book. The cover began to split open and the spine cracked. The store I purchased it from would not take it back because they said I would have to send it to the company. I will NEVER buy another pioneer scrapbook.
Don't confuse this with other 12x12 Pioneer books. Make sure you get the Deluxe EZ Load or Family Treasures Deluxe (it goes by both names). True 12x12 refill pages, lays flat, looks great on the shelf thanks to the sturdy, well-designed binding and multitude of color choices. Cheaper models look LOTS cheaper. This rivals Creative Memories' Premier for quality and look (this color swatch doesn't do the book justice at all), but I've come to prefer the top-loading pages and the price of this one. It's even better with a Joann coupon!
