Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wonderful... for a while Bought the Procision Trimmer in-store, luckily at 50% off. The plastic layer with the gridlines quickly started lifting at one end... but I could work around that. I'd collected tips from reviews and videos to achieve the best results possible and only cut paper and cardstock. But within a couple months of relatively light duty use the cuts are no longer straight. The metal edge has ground away ever so slightly but that appears to be the cause of the wonky cuts. I've put the trimmer aside now, going back to an older Fiskars trimmer that cuts a marginally better straight line. Disappointing to spend so much money for another cutter failure.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Best Cutter I Have....Almost! Bought this cutter from Joann store. I was thrilled because it lived up to it's reputation. is missing the 6" line because of where the folding mechanism is. I didn't mind at first because this gem could cut chipboard with ease. But between 6 and 6 3/4", there is difficulty making a precise cut and I have to use another cutter (not with the chipboard). This really needs to be corrected by Fiskars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Large and fabulous I upgraded to this trimmer because it's supposed to be one of the best around and I make a lot of cuts with scrapbooking and card making. The one I bought in the store cut cleanly and through several sheets of paper at once, but the cuts were slightly crooked. I contacted Fiskars after 9 months of dealing with the crooked and they sent me a new one, free of charge, that is prefect. I am so happy with this cutter and the customer service of Fiskars with their lifetime warranty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Measurement marking are not precise I purchased this trimmer because I was using up my blades too quick on my smaller Fiskars trimmers, and the cuts were not always straight. I brought it home from the store and discovered that the measurements, on the half of the trimmer that folds under, were all off by 1/8". Fiskars said they were aware of the issue, and sent a replacement out immediately. But the replacement does not have correct markings either. I am waiting for a third trimmer. I hope I will receive one with proper markings. I make boxes and mini albums and I need my cuts to be precise. If you buy one, put a ruler to the grid to make sure the measurements are correct. If not, Fiskars will send a replacement out free of charge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Trimmer Ever! No need to sharpen. I've cut hundreds of sheets of cardstock and patterned paper, with no noticeable loss of sharpness. East to store because it folds up. Locks shut securely. Large enough to cut 12x12 paper or longer. Clear markings.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hope I've found the holy grail... I owned a Fiskars premium 12" inch paper trimmer that I was happy enough with, except that it goes through replacement blades VERY quickly. The blade cuts cleanly, but once the blade need replacement, the cuts are very ragged. I can't afford a very expensive paper trimmer right now, and I had read good reviews about the Fiskers Procision trimmer. I picked it up in a Joann's store on Black Friday, when it was 50% off. I also got another 15% off with a discount card through my employer. The rotary blade (which Fiskar's says will never need to be replaced) seems to cut pretty cleanly, even when I used 120lb heavy cardstock. It doesn't cut laser sharp, but the cuts are MUCH cleaner than with my old Fiskars. I also love that you can cut very thin strips of paper with it, which even some of the Rotatrim-like trimmers cannot do. Be forewarned though - it has a pretty significant footprint. With my last trimmer, I was used to just flipping it up onto my craft table and using it. The Procision needs its own craftroom space, which I'm going to have to find in my craft room. I'm happy with it so far, especially for the little over 79.00 discount off of retail I got when I purchased it. Time will tell though whether it proves to be the holy grail of paper trimmers. I really hope so, since this is now my 3rd paper trimmer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed I love this trimmer, I use it for cutting cardstock, photos, acetate and paper. Makes nice clean cuts, no ragged edges at all. Works great on it all. Stores easily in my workroom. It is large when unfolded but I have a big work surface. If you can buy it on sale even better which I did.
