Prym Dritz Eyelet Plier is rated 3.5833 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from trash More a toy than a tool. Almost half of the eyelets broke off little bits of metal as I tried to set them. Most did not secure to the fabric all the way around and left ragged edges just outside the eyelet. The 1st time I washed the item (in a hand-washable cycle), 2 of the 12 eyelets came out which showed how well they did NOT grab the fabric. A waste of money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked as described This item worked just as it was described. I was hoping that the eyelets had a longer barrel so they did not work for what I needed, yet the pliers worked very well. I used it on another project and had no problems at all. Very easy to use and professional looking results. Would recomment this product to anyone wanting to place eyelets in material/craft projects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's Great! It is so fast to use! You literally have an eyelet punched onto the fabric in a second.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor quality I've tried both sizes of eyelets ... even the ones that came with the pliers, and the tool won't work correctly. The milling of the receiving side that the eyelet is supposed to punch through the fabric on and flare out is terrible. It has ridges that prevent the eyelets from smoothly cutting through the fabric and flaring out. It usually just crushes the eyelet with some teeth flaring in, and some teeth flaring out. I wish I had saved the receipt, since it wasn't cheap. It only takes one incorrectly set eyelet to destroy a garmet! I will be getting the "We R Memory Keepers Crop-A-Dile Eyelet and Snap Punch" now. It looks to be a much higher quality product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great little tool! This eyelet plier is the perfect tool for applying eyelets! It takes a small amount of practice to get it right, but eventually results are perfect. I always take scrap fabric and test out the eyelets first to make sure they can securely be placed into the actual project. I've made corsets with this, and the eyelets don't come out no matter how hard I tug on the lacing. Here's a tip: Use the tool itself to make a hole in the fabric. If you're using a 5/32" eyelet, it's the perfect size for the eyelet's back to fit through. I have also used this tool for an impromptu paper punch, which works wonderfully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a relief! Some people have complained that this tool is not good for paper and scrapbooking. Seeing as there is a picture right on the packaging of a pin cushion, I would think it was obvious that it is for sewing. I personally love this eyelet plier. I've gotten perfect results every time I've used it! If you follow the instructions, it is super easy and quick.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Time Saver This is a great tool. It is sturdy and even works on vinyl. The only complaint I have is that I can never remember which way is up and if you get it wrong, the grommet is ruined! Overall great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tid Bit on using this tool for small eyelets. I use this tool all the time, even for paper. The trick to the small eyelets is quite simple. 1) Use the tool to punch the eyelet hole. 2) Next, now use the tool to install the eyelet. What a difference it makes, on any size and material. Just my thoughts, hope it helps. By the way, I have purchased all different brands, and this tool is the best of them all. It is sturdier, and it lines up better. I have used mine for literally 1000's of rivets.
