Rated 2 out of 5 by KimGWN from Quality needs work I do like this yarn. The colors are vibrant & beautiful. That said, the quality consistency thru-out the skein is sorely lacking. It goes from very thick to whisper thin. The first skein had 1 break in it & thinned regularly at one color blend, but was still workable. The 2nd skein (Mardi Gras) was broken at 5 spots in the first 1/4 of the skein & thinned to the point I feared it would break as I was trying to knit with it. I had to be very, very careful. I still fear the final project may fall apart, so I will not use it as the gift first made as. I have purchased a 3rd skein as a quality control, to see if it runs to the better or worse. So far, so good.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Diane from Disappointed The quality of this yarn is very poor. The boucle is very uneven; sometimes thick and sometimes so thin you think it will split while using it. There was also a split in the yarn and they joined navy to the white :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bobbie from Boucles are the best! I "deconstruct" this yarn, always have 3-4 colors plus more blends - I have bags of 4-6 different colors. Let imagination go wild with infinity scarves and hats! Only problem - either others LOVE this yarn or they just don't restock.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ButtonInTheBackHats from Beautiful For Making Hats I love using this yarn by either doubling the strands, doubling it with homespun, or other yarns for a great textured effect in making hats. In these photos I love the effects of the pony tail hats and the slouchy hat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by nascar4433 from Great yarn but limited selection of colors I'm still using up "baby" pastel colors of this yarn (Sensations Rainbow Boucle...some with shimmer which was really nice) that I purchased through the years. I'm glad I over-bought, because they are all now discontinued. Unfortunately, I can no longer make baby afghans for family & friends. All of these dark colors (in the smaller ounces) get boring, and there's nothing for a baby. Very disappointinng. Yes, the yarn can be a little more difficult to work with (I know some people who refuse to use it!), but I love it, and it creates the lightest and softest afghans you can imagine. Please, JoAnn, bring back pastel colors. There's not another yarn out there that makes up as well, is soft and lightweight, and is loved by every recipient. I really miss the pastels that are varigated with white, especially those with the shimery effect. Big mistake discontinuing these colors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Julie from A bit tricky, but overall worth it I knit a cardigan with this yarn and it is lovely and soft. I found it a bit tricky to work with as my needles would get caught in the strand occasionally, but it didn't slow me down too much, and the finished project is quite nice. I bought a burgundy, green, and blue colorway, and it occasionally had a few yellow fluff blobs, but they were easy to work around. The first skein also had a completely unattached mini skein inserted in the middle of it somehow. The thickness was not super even as another reviewer showed, but it didn't show up in the final project. Quality control may be a little lacking though and the boucle makes it a little trickier to knit, but I would buy it again as the price, yardage, colors and softness are all good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lydia from Beautiful and super soft I made a very long wrap using a drop stitch. It turned out beautifully. I agree with the other reviews that say that the irregular nature of this yarn is forgiving, but I disagree with the people who had issues with knotting and snagging. I had no problems like that, but I am a person who enjoys using "weird" yarn that has a lot of texture. I intend to use the remaining yarn from the skein to make a cowl for a friend.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Chris from Disappointed Since I started purchasing this product which is suppose to replace Sensations rainbow Boucle, I have purchased close to 100 skeins. The skeins use to contain 11 ounces, now they contain only 8 ounces for the same price, AND more importantly the quality is terrible! The consistency within a skein is totally lacking. Sometimes the product has almost the th thread around which the boucle is attached, and other times within the same skein it is like a bulky weight yarn. The transitions because the colors is also terrible sometimes. There will just be a knot going from main color to main color, while at other times there is a nice easy transition. The picture with the red and pink come from the same skein, and there were many places like this. I buy from both the website and local store.
