Description
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
Cotton fabric: 1/2 yd (A), 1/4 yd (B), 1/4 yd (C), 1/4 yd (D)
Rotary cutter, ruler and mat
Basic sewing supplies
1 yd of 1/4" cording
12" pillow form
Iron and ironing surface
DIRECTIONS:
CUTTING:
Fabric A:
Four 2" squares
Four 27" squares, then cut in half diagonally to make 8 triangles
Fabric B:
One 4" square
Fabric C:
Eight 2" squares
Four 27" squares, then cut in half diagonally to make 8 triangles
Fabric D:
Four 2" squares
Eight 27" squares, then cut in half diagonally to make 16 triangles
SEWING:
Seams are 1/4" throughout.
1. Sew triangles of fabric D to the A and C Triangles to create 16 squares.

2. Make 4 of each of these sections shown to right:
3. Assemble squares into the pattern shown, sewing blocks together in rows
across, then sewing the rows together.
4. Trim quilt block and cut a square out of fabric A the same size as the block
for the pillow back.
5. Cut 1" bias strips and sew together forming a 50" bias strip; make
cording from this strip.
6. Sew cording to the quilt block, sew back to quilt block right sides facing,
leaving opening for turning and to insert pillow form.
7. Turn, insert pillow form and whipstitch closed.
