Rated 3 out of 5 by from Must Be Missin' Somethin' I guess I must be missin' somethin' because I don't see what everyone else is raving about with the sparkly embossing powder. I haven't tried the regular colors. I bought Rainbow Sparkle, Polysparkle and Holographic Sparkle based on the recommendations of other reviewers here. But they seem to be just clear embossing powder with a little bit of glitter mixed in. I guess I can use them when I use tinted ink pads, but with a regular embossing pad, they're disappointing. I wish I could see what others see, but as it is, I won't be buying these again. I had to open each one to try it out of course, so I can't return them. I would if I could.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Standard Embossing Powder I tried the Holographic embossing powder after reading the reviews. The Holographic is clear, rainbow (oil-slick) color, heat-resistant glitter mixed with clear embossing powder. Like regular glitter, it can get everywhere. Sometimes I get a holographic (sort of) effect after embossing, more often I get just a sparkly glitter effect. It's okay. I have other colors, too. They work fine. The color selection is standard (metallics, red, blue, etc.) to pastels. I would like to see rich, truly different colors, like verdigris, rather than more glittered-up or pastel-color embossing powders.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Opaque vs Transparent I used a rubber stamp of fireworks bursts with an embossing ink pad to attempt an opaque effect in colors of yellow, red, and blue on a black background. The Lemon Yellow worked beautifully and produced an intense light yellow opaque impression. However, Rich Red and Blue Glass embossed more transparent; their color was lost on a black surface. This by no means is a criticism of these powders, but I'm hoping this will help someone else trying to accomplish the same thing. I love these powders, but I'm still looking for red and blue powders that will produce opaque color embossing on black backgrounds. (Perhaps using an opaque ink pad in red and blue would work for this purpose using these powders?)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seafoam or Sea Mist Just wanted to warn potential buyers that the description Seafoam is not blue/green it is actually Seafoam White. With no picture the description was deceiving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful to Work With and Look At! I bought the Holographic and the Polysparkle and I love them both. I have never achieved an holographic effect with any other product - I'm impressed! I didn't find these to be hard to melt or have regular glitter in them. I couldn't ask for a better result with an embossing powder. I am planning to buy one in every color!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Unimpressed Have tried the holo powder and it does, indeed, get all over. Results are just so-so compared to the mess it makes. I am on this site because I am also looking for verdigris. I know it's out there somewhere because I saw someone with it. She didn't remember where she bought it though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything sparkles I used the rainbow embossing powder to emboss my embellishments and titles that I printed. Turn your ink to heavy and your drying time to short then use embossing powder right after printing. Gave everthing a shine and "punched up" the printed titles and words.
