As I am a novice knitter, having just begun with round looms, I really don't have much to compare to but will say that I really like the results I've achieved with this yarn, just what I was hoping for. Easy to work so saw fruit of my labor quickly. My sweater is turning out quite beautiful; going to buy more of the same tomorrow . Gave this a 5 for price/value as I had a 40% off coupon, what I can afford.
After writing my earlier comment, I noticed that you DO offer the brown color I was missing------the Spice combo! Now, if you'd just make some deeper greens, blues, etc!
I've been working with this product for several years now. Absolutely love working with it and giving afghans as gifts. I lost count of how many I've made over the years. My family uses them so much they wear them out and request new ones all the time.
As a new Crocheter, I found this yarn very difficult to use. However, I loved the feel and color of the yarn I chose...so I stuck with it, working with it til I got the "hang" of using this multi-textured yarn. And...I'm so glad I did!! I've made several afghans, which are so soft and cuddly warm. I've also begun making headbands/earmuffs, fingerless gloves and flowers (roses) to attach to them. This is now my go-to yarn! The thickness of both the afghans and headbands/earmuffs when made with this yarn using a single strand of yarn - far surpasses using a double strand of any of the other yarns I have used in the past. I love Light & Lofty Yarn!!
i am a pretty new at knitting and basically just do scarfs and baby blankets. it normally takes me months to make something. with this yarn it'll take me less than a week!! i absolutely LOVE how it looks and i get a lot of compliments on how things work and it's so easy to use. i'm thinking about making a ton of scarves to sell at a craft fair next winter! it's actually possible for me to do it with this yarn!
I found a nice afghan pattern on the web which recommended this yarn. I found this yarn difficult to work with. I was constantly fighting with it. I doubt I will ever purchase this yarn again.
this yarn was a big disappointment. very coarse and hard to work with
I originally used light lofty as a substiitute yarn for LB's chenille thick and quick and now I won't use any other yarn for my baby blankets and afghans. It is so soft and warm.
