I have used Red Heart since 1983. I. too, have noticed that the yarn has changed. Some colors had thick and thin areas, but the last purchase has places in the yarn that are so thin and tight it almost looks as if something is wound around the yarn making it so thin I worry about breakage since this is an afghan and a gift. I don't think I shall purchase anymore until quality changes. Made in Mexico is not for me!
Will stop buying this yarn,, Even if the price is good, if the quality of the yarn is bad then it is useless to me....Maybe if enough people complain, the company will do something about it...It is imported from Mexico... Time we use only items produced in the good old USA..
I am looking for the patterns for the jungle set and animals as well as the sea life animals on the next page. The store does not know where I can find them so I would like to purchase the patterns if someone would be so kind as to direct me to the proper place.
I will not buy this yarn anymore. It's awful; stiff, scratchy and thickness varies from color to color. Very inconsistent quality. It may be ok for craft items, but definitely not for sweaters, hats or afghans.
The super saver has a lot of the threads knotted throughout the skein. I was disappointed in the quality and wouldn't reccommend this yarn for a project that must hold up through wear.
I am looking for the car pattern in the craft catalog. Does anyone know where to find it?
i received a 'jo ann's' craft catalog in my mail. on page 22 there are some adorable 'jungle animals' crocheted using red heart yarn. where are the patterns ?
I am looking for Red Heart Super Saver Yarn - color #0374 - Country Rose. I have been using this color for afghans that I make & can no longer find it. If anyone has a quantity of this color I would be interested. I like this yarn to work with & the variety of colors. I wish there would be a notice if a yarn is going to be discontinued.
