Description

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
•    NEW Black and White Buttons
•    Vintage china plates- 3 in assorted sizes /shapes
•    1/4 yd each 3 or 4 coordinating lightweight printed fabric
•    Iron-on fusible web
•    Stick on pears and gems in coordinating colors (black/white)
•    Hot glue gun and glue sticks
•    Scissors 
•    Ruler
•    Circle guide
•    Embossing gun or hot blow dryer.
•    Iron and pressing surface
•    Plate hangers

DIRECTIONS:

Small Plate: 
1.    Following package directions, iron a piece of fusible web to the back of a small piece of red print fabric.
2.    Cut out a small circle (size will depend on the size of the plate), and trim to the edge of the plate.  
3.    Peel off the backing, and place the circle of fabric on the plate.  
4.    Holding the heat gun a couple inches away, heat/fuse the fabric to the plate being careful not to over-heat.  
5.    Hot glue 2 buttons to the plate, and add stick-on pearls on the buttons and on the plate.

Mid-size plate:  
1.    Following package directions, iron a piece of fusible web to the back of a small piece of red print fabric, and a small piece of black and white print fabric.  
2.    Cut the red into a square, and the black/white in a flower shape (size will depend on size of the plate.
3.    Peel off the backing, and place the red square of fabric on the plate. 
4.    Holding the heat gun a couple inches away, heat/fuse the fabric to the plate being careful not to over-heat.  Center the flower shape on the red square, and repeat fusing process with the heat gun. 
5.    Hot glue a button to the center of the plate and add stick on gems on the button and on the plate.

Large plate:  
1.    Following package directions, iron a piece of fusible web to the back of a small piece of red print fabric, and a small piece of black and white print fabric. 
2.    Cut the red in a circle slightly smaller than the plate, and the black/white in a crescent shape with a straight edge. 
3.    Peel off the backing, and place the red circle of fabric on the plate. 
4.    Holding the heat gun a couple inches away, heat/fuse the fabric to the plate being careful not to over-heat.  Repeat with the black and white fabric shape. 
5.    Hot glue several small buttons along the edge of the black fabric, and larger ones as shown. 
6.    Add stick-on gems and pearls on buttons and along edge of the plate.

Tips:
Hang plates with plate hangers.
When fusing the fabric, go slowly and gently press as the fusible web sticks.
A similar effect could be achieved with lightweight paper cut to shape, and use decoupage glue instead of fusible web to adhere to the plate.
