Ribbon Wreath


  • 12" box wreath frame
  • 50-60 feet each of three colors wired ribbon (1-1/2-3" wide).
  • Craft scissors, ruler


  1. Cut 24" lengths of ribbon.
  2. Flat side of frame is the bottom. Working from the top, slide a length of ribbon (right side up) under two outer rings of frame. Make a 5" loop on either side and tie in an overhand knot.

  4. Repeat on the two center rings and the two inner rings, alternating colors. Work around entire frame in the same manner.
  5. Open and arrange ribbon loops as desired. Finished diameter 16".

Cork Lettered Plaid Gift Wrap Sleeve


  • Plaid Homespun or Platitude Fabric yardage determined by size of pkg.
  • 1 pkg. of sew-on Velcro®
  • Craft paper
  • Clear tape
  • Cork letters
  • Tacky glue
  • Sewing machine
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Rotary cutter, ruler & mat
  • Iron & pressing surface


  1. Wrap gift with the craft paper.
  2. Measure around box to be wrapped and add 2", this will be the length for the wrap.
  3. Determine the desired width of the finished band double that and add 1".
  4. With right sides together sew the long edge using a 1/2" seam allowance. Leave a 2" opening for turning.
  5. Fold fabric with seam in the middle of back, press seam open.
  6. Sew 1/2" seam on both short ends.
  7. Turn and press. Stitch opening closed.
  8. On back of sleeve along short side, sew loop part of Velcro® close to edge.
  9. Stitch the remaining other side of Velcro® to front along short edge.
  10. Wrap sleeve around box and secure with Velcro®.
  11. Place cork letters on wrap to check placement then remove each one at a time to place glue on the back then put back in place. Allow to dry.

Craft and Plaid Papers as Gift Wrap


  • Stack of small boxes
  • Roll of craft paper
  • One or more sheets of plaid print scrapbook paper
  • Clear tape
  • 1 roll each red, green and black 1/4" ribbon
  • 1 roll plaid ribbon
  • Tacky glue


  1. Wrap every other package with craft paper. Wrap the other packages with the plaid paper. If the plaid paper is too small for the box, several pieces of printed paper may need to be use. When piecing the paper together to get a large enough piece, line up the plaids so it looks like one continuous piece of paper. Tape together as needed.
  2. Stack the boxes up putting a dot of glue between each to hold the stack in place. Allow to dry.
  3. Wrap the stack in both directions with the plaid ribbon. Tie a knot at the top and trim the ends off.
  4. Using all three 1/4" ribbons together tie a bow over the center knot.

Pom Pom and Plaid Gift Wrap


  • Plaid Homespun or Platitude Fabric yardage determined by size of pkg.
  • Tacky glue
  • Straight pins
  • Large pom pom maker
  • Bulky yarn
  • Scissors


  1. Wrap package with the plaid fabric holding it in place with glue. Use straight pins to hold the glued fabric in place until dry; then remove pins.
  2. Wrap box with yarn 12 to 15 times then tie the ends together in the back.
  3. Make two large pompoms following package directions tying each one in the middle with a 24" length of yarn.
  4. Trim the pompoms as needed but keep the tie cords long. Tie the pompoms to the wrapped yarn.
