  • 4-1/2 yds 45" white muslin
  • 2-3/4" yds 45" peach cotton
  • 2-3/4 yds 45" yellow cotton

1/4"-1/2" seam allowance unless noted

1. Cut muslin into two 80"x45" pieces.
2. Sew a seam along 80" edges to form a square for curtain base.
3. Trim to 78"x78".
4. For all 4 sides, fold 1" under and press. Repeat. Edgestitch around perimeter.
5. Mark horizontal lines for ruffles. Mark first line 4" from bottom. Mark lines 2 through 12 at 6" apart.
6. Cut three 8"x45" pieces for each ruffle. Seam 8" edges and trim to 115".
7. Hem and finish sides and bottom of each ruffle. Gather the tops.
8. Beginning at the bottom line of the curtain base, stitch each ruffle onto curtain, easing gathers and placing ruffles according to picture.
9. From yellow fabric, cut one 8"x73" piece for top and twelve 5"x9" pieces for tabs.
10. Stitch 9" sides of tabs, turn and press.
11. Press a 1" hem on each 73" side of top piece. Fold top in half with wrong sides facing out (73"x3").
12. Fold each tab in half and place cut edges into fold, evenly spacing tabs.
13. Stitch 1" from fold. Stitch 1/2" from each short side. Turn and press.
14. Bind top of shower curtain to shower curtain ruffled base, topstitching edge.
