Additional Information

  • Red Heart Boutique Sassy Fabric: 1 hank, Teal Panther
  • Knitting needles: US-9
  • Sewing needle & matching sewing thread

1. Before starting, slide ball band to one end of hank. Remove cardboard from center of hank. Begin your scarf with inside end of Sassy Fabric and continue pulling from inside as you knit.
2. Note that fabric has holes running along one side. Knit into each hole.

Scarf measures 3"x65"

Cast On
Starting 3" from end, insert needle from back to the front through next 4 holes at the top of the fabric.

Pick up right hand needle and knit into each hole. Continue knitting these 4 stitches on each row.
Stop knitting when there is 1 yard left for binding off.

Bind off as usual. Pull the end of the fabric through the last bound off stitch and tighten. Trim leaving a 3" end. To finish the ends, fold under the edge and tack inside with sewing needle and matching thread.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great looking scarf I tried the lace variety. It was easy to work with compared to the Sashay. It is very soft and feminine. Can't wait to wear it. I watched the video which said to cast on 5 stitches while the printed instructions say to cast on 4 stitches, and neither was clear on how to finish it off at the end.  Overall I liked it very much and will do it again and looking forward to trying a fabric hank.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Mistake in keystokes. It seems there is a mistake in typing. It could confuse a beginner. Scarf measures 3"x65" I think it is supposed to be inches.
