Rated 3 out of 5 by from No good for terracotta, ok for polymer clay I purchased this on clearance and thought I could use this for my terracotta clay. The clay gets stuck at the inner edge in between rollers. It works okay with polymer clay though. The settings are very basic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best machine I ever found I have owned several including the one by makins clay brand which I do not recommend at all because the clay jams up and there is no way to get it out. This particular machine made by Sculpey does not jam up and it is very easy and smooth all the time. Just a very very good clay machine the only one I can recommend.

It is too loose and will not tighten and the hole is too big so the threads will not seat. This makes it very insecure and I have to keep it steady. I may go to home depot to shop for a better clamp.

Problems: The handle falls out while being used, The thickness adjusting knob in hard to use and the last straw, while conditioning white clay, the machine leaves black streaks! I wrote to the company but they have not contacted me.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Kid use only The sculpy clay roller made uneven bars across the clay so that flat items had to be sanded or rerolled to flatten. I suppose it can be used to do skinner or teardrop skinner blends but the resulting sheet of uneven clay has proved difficult to work with. I recommend the Atlas pasta roller through a kitchen supply shop. However, given the expense of the Atlas, this roller is fine for use by children or those just playing with the clay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WORKS GREAT! IT REALLY FLATTENS THE CLAY OUT NICE AND SMOOTH. I ONLY USED IT ONCE SO FAR BUT IT SEEMS TO BE PRETTY GOOD QUALITY. THE ONLY THNG LACKING IS THE CLAMP, I NEED TO FIGURE SOMETHING BETTER OUT. BUT IM HAPPY WITH IT SO FAR

Does what it is supposed to and you can't beat the price! I got mine when it was on sale - along with lots of other claying goodies and got FREE shipping too! I like the fact that I purchased a product made by a company that deals with clay, not pasta!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine This machine is well built and heavy. I use it all of the time so I ordered one for my friend. It doesn't move around, it thins the clay with no problem and the handle stays put, unlike other machines that I have owned. I highly recommend this Sculpey machine.
